MAKE IT: GOLD + BLUE BRACELET

HEY SEXIES, THIS IS POSSIBLY the most straight forward thing you could ever make. I don't know, maybe it's even insulting to your intelligence that I would show you how to do this, so let me insult you...

YOU WILL NEED:

Coloured cord of your choice (I love turquoise and gold together)
Charms of some sort, I nabbed these off some old earrings of mine which were neglected, if you don't have any charms then you can pick them up really cheaply on eBay!
Connector loops to attatch the charms to the bracelet
Fastener to enable you to attach both ends of the cord

Step 1: Tie a double knot about an inch away from the end of the cord, the extra cord is to allow you to attatch the fastner at the end.

Step 2: Literally just thread a charm onto your cord so it meets the knot and tie another double knot about a cm away from the other one. Your charm should sit nicely in the middle. It's nice to give that cm gap so that the charm can move around a bit but it keeps them spaced out so the charms don't gather at one end of the bracelet.

Step 3: Contine threading charms and making knots. It's better with a slightly bigger knot because it adds to the quirky look of the bracelet, therefore they don't need to be perfect.

Step 4: Once you have the length of bracelet you like, get your fastener (I don't even know if this is the technical name for it) and you have two options of how you can attatch it. In the 3rd photo above I have shown you the easy way on the blue cord, which is basically entails knotting the cord around the fastener and then trimming the ends (I also use clear nail polish on the ends to set it).
Your other option, as shown on the orange cord, is to buy some connectors (the little gold things at the end of the cord, again I don't know their name!) and they are designed so you can place the ends in the middle of them and clamp them tightly shut. Hope that wasn't too much of a spastic explanation?!

The orange one with the wings is fairly self explanitory, I hope you like them. Sometimes I worry homemade jewellery looks childish but until I have some decent equipment that is how it will be!
