BEAUTY TAG

YOU KNOW THE SCORE with these things...

Skincare

How many times do you wash your face daily? Once in the morning, once in the evening (unless I've excersised, which means I'll wash my face afterwards too!)
What type of skin do you have? Normal, occasionally dry in the winter.
What is your current facial wash? Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit foaming face wash.
Do you exfoliate? Yes, with St Ives Apricot revitalising scrub.
Which moisturizer do you use? If I'm in the money: Clarins Hydra Quench cream. If I'm poor: Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit moisturizer (works well with the wash).
Do you have freckles? No.
Do you use eye cream? Yeah, just a cheap one from the Boots Vitamin E range. When I'm old and wrinkly I'll invest in a pricier one ;)
Do you or did you have acne prone skin? When I was early to mid teens I used to get some hormonal chin spots but other than that no.
Did you ever have to use Pro-activ? No, don't know what it is! Spot cream?

Make-up

Which foundation do you use? Mostly Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua but sometimes L'ancome Tient Miracle.
Concealer? Maybelline Lumi Touch concealer. I only occasionally use concealer under my eyes, it's too heavy to wear on the rest of my face.
Do you know your undertone colour? Warm.
What do you think of fake eyelashes? I used to wear them on nights out but I don't tend to anymore because they would always look nackered by the end of the night haha.
Which brand of mascara do you use? None in particular, I'm trying out the ''They're Real'' mascara
from Benefit. So far so good.

COOLEST T-SHIRT EVER?

THIS HAS ME EXCITED. Two bananas bent into the Chanel sign? Yes please. Nasty Gal is a great website for interesting clothes however it's expensive to ship to the UK as it's an American site, grrr! It's only worth shopping on it if you're going to do a big shop then it doesn't matter too much there's an extra 10 squid postage.

I weaalllyy want itttt. It's £43.83 and £10 for postage (non recorded...) so pretty expensive for what is essentially just a t-shirt. Damn. Love it none the less! x

HOW TO: GET FULL LOOKING LIPS

I'M SURE YOU ALL HAVE LOVELY SMACKERS buuut sometimes, like anything, it's nice to accentuate them. This is little step by step way to achieve fuller looking lips naturally. Hope it helps. For the record I probably do this about once a year, I went out and bought a lip liner just to make this tutorial, reason being because I think you can get full looking lips purely through wearing a good lipstick with a bit of gloss on the top. Lip liner is a bit of a weird product in my view, but if you have one knocking around then maybe give this a go :)

Start with clean, moisturised lips. There's some weird hair on my top lip in these photos, apologies.

With a nude lipliner, start by making a V on your cupids bow.

It should look like this, don't worry if the line is really obvious, it will get sorted out later.

SURFS UP!

HEY SEXY BEASTS. Yesterday I met my lovely dad for a spot of lunch and a catch up. I've mentioned before that him and his girlfriend renovated a beach cottage in Cornwall. This now means that we all have to become amazing surfers according to him, meaning we marched off to a sports shop and he got a bit wetsuit happy and bought three. We all have one now so there's no excuse not to get in the sea and ''catch some waves'' ;). Love my dad when he gets something in his head. He has to follow it through and he wont stop until he's satisfied that he's providing everyone with the right equipment for his chosen activity haha. I'm going to visit them next week sometime so the update will come! Should be rather hilarious trying not to let the sea completely destroy me...

The lovely offerings we had from ''Coals'' restaurant. There's not that many in the country (about 6 or 7 I think?) but if find yourself near one, GO INSIDE AND FEAST! It's such great food and their cocktails are fecking awesome!

I should really restrain from constantly posting pictures of Fugly on here...but I wont ;) Love xx

PAINT THE TOWN RED

HOWSIT HANGING? Hope everyone is enjoying their summer. A few days ago my lovely friend Lily had a bunch of us unruly people over at hers and we hit the town. Surprisingly, for someone my age I don't go clubbing that much. I just did a lot of clubbing here when I was 17 that I'm bored of the night life my city has to offer. I love cocktails so going out for evening drinks/nibbles is always right up my street, however this time I kicked my granny slippers off and I decided to party!
I find that the summer is a time where I experiment a bit with different things (makeup/ food/ clothes/ getting lost on explorations) because I always feel that bit more adventurous in the summer, don't ask why! This month has seen me try out red lipstick more. I bought a lovely one from Mac called ''MAC Red'' (post here) which I wore a couple of times before I finally chickened out...well if Mac thought that was the end of it then Mac picked on the wrong bitch. I took the lipstick by the horns and went all out by pairing my white Marilyn Monroe style dress with big red smackers and curled hair. It was probably a case of:

Sorry Amy, I did like you...

Here's a few photos to show how the makeup/hair turned out.

CHANEL YOU BADASS!

SO WE ALL LOVE A BIT OF CHANEL...am I right? I certainly know that every time I come to own a new Chanel product the excitement seems to linger. I was explaining to my dad that aside from the complete orgasmic nature of the products, the packaging itself is enough to get me going. Alas he didn't know what I was going on about and carried on happily eating his sandwich. Hopefully I'll get more understanding here ;)

I was feeling sorry for myself a few weeks ago and ''invested'' in a new lip gloss. Having never owned a lip gloss from Chanel I am pleased to report it's fab! The colour I chose was 131 ''Mica'', a pale pink with lots of tiny flecks of gold running through it.

SUPERFOOD SALAD

WELL HOWDY THERE! I hope this post isn't boring, it's not the most fun topic in the world but I do believe that healthy eating plays a huge role in how people feel about themselves, inside and out. I've been eating like a proper poo lately, grabbing anything that's quick and convinient whilst at work and when I'm catching up with friends in town...not to mention the over indulgence that went on in Turkey a few weeks ago! On top of that excersise has been non existent, purely because I've not had the time or energy.

I don't want to sound like a depressive banging on about how unhealthy I am but leading up to my holiday, I was eating really well and doing a normal amount of excersise and I felt so good! My skin was fresher and brighter, my energy levels rocketed and I avoided the bloated feeling which is all too common when I'm on a bad diet phase. Loosing weight wasn't a huge aim for me but it did happen while I was eating well, which in turn made me feel better in my clothes etc.
Yesterday I decided it was time I got back on track and made myself a lovely ''superfood salad'', packed with goodness. It consisted of giant cous cous, chickpeas (yawn!), green lentils and various beans and bits of pepper. My dad's girlfriend is always trying to get me to realise the health benefits of eating corriander and parsley, spare me!!! However I decided I would venture into the world of sprinkling my food with leaves and I added some corriander ontop, what a party 'eh?!
This is where I admit that I did copy an M&S salad pretty much ingredient for ingredient. Their one is called...drum roll...Superfood Salad! Haha, it's cheaper if you buy the ingredients and make it in bulk though so that's what I did - teehee.

NEW MULBERRY BAG

HEY CHICKS, JUST A QUICKIE because I'm off to work in a little bit. I wanted to show you the gorgeous Mulberry bag I got from a market in Turkey (you can immediately deduce that it is a fake from that sentence haha). I was looking for a Louis Vuitton at first but unless you spend nearer to £80 then the style I liked was too tacky looking. As we were walking around I noticed there were a lot of lovely Mulberry ones which fold over and I started to fixate on finding the best one, price permitting. In the end I picked up this beaut for exactly £21, and it's definately real leather (unlike the soul destroying Chloe bag from Thailand where the ''leather'' started peeling 2 days later!!!).

HOLIDAY OUTFITS

HELLO PRETTY PEOPLE, I hope you're all well. I briefly mentioned in my last post that I went on a two week holiday, it was to Bodrum in Turkey and I have to say it was an amazing place. My dad tells me I've been to Turkey as a toddler but I can't remeber a thing so it was nice to see Turkey and actually remember it!

Here are just a few snaps from the holiday which show you some of the things I wore including beachwear and evening wear. I've chucked in the odd makeup one too but I didn't really wear much makeup on the holiday so I don't have that many.

I'M BACK + LEIBSTER AWARD!

HELLO BEAUTIFUL LADIES! I'm so sorry for the lack of blogging recently, I was on holiday for two weeks and then had a pretty hectic week when I got back, there's a sale on at work at the moment so I've been working quite a bit and catching up on all the things you miss when you're away :)

While I was away the lovely Sunny tagged me in the Leibster award and being a new blogger this has made me very excited haha! Sending a huge thank you to her for that. The idea is to answer 11 questions from the person who tagged you, write 11 facts about yourself and create 11 questoins and tag 11 people. I'm not going to do the last two things because this was all happening a few weeks ago so I think it's a bit late for that :s

Her questions for me to answer are as follows:

1. What is your favourite brand of makeup?
Difficult question because I love so many! If I had to go with one for the rest of my life I think it would have to be Chanel because I love everything they make hehe :P

2. City or country life?
Having lived in London and now in Devon I would have to say country life because you have the chilled life and if you need a city top up you can always go to London for a long weekend.

3. Do you have any pets?
My dad is looking after him but we have an amazing little springer spaniel, Fugly. He's the best little fury bastard!
